Sorry for the lack of updates. The car suffered some bodywork damaged on the return from Stoneleigh. It came half off the trailer and the trailer light pod cut into the right hand side pod. I have started the repair and will post some pics and more info tomorrow. I have removed the aero screen and fitted the full screen surround. I have a windscreen fitter coming to help me fit the full screen next thursday. Due to one thing and another I have not been able to drive the car since Stoneleigh. Once the full screen is in road testing will continue.

I drove the last 10 miles into the Stoneleigh show and the car drove perfectly!

THE DAMAGE

The pic below is of the main damage caused as the the car slid into the light pod on the trailer. The damage is on the drivers side.

The pic below is of damaged caused to the drivers side just below the carbon side intake.

In the pic below I have cleaned the the damaged using a small sanding drum in a dremel. The edges have been chamfered.

In the pic below I have cut and shaped a peice of aluminium mesh just bigger than the hole.

In the pic below  I have fibreglassed two layers of 300gram chopped strand matting over the aluminium mesh. The repair has then been continued from the outside. I sanded out a bigger area and laid in three layers of matting. Over that I skimmed some P40 fibreglass to get the level correct. I am sanding that back to the right level so I can skim over with some yellow gelcoat filler. The work is still in progress.
